Our approach

We scope before we build. Here's exactly what that means.

We don't quote a price before we understand your business. Every engagement starts with a scoping phase: a structured audit of what's actually happening in your systems today. It's a paid, standalone deliverable. You keep it whether or not you build anything with us afterward.

What happens during scoping

  1. Discovery session

We talk through your current setup, tools, and the specific problem you brought to us.

  2. Systems audit

We review the tools and processes involved firsthand, not just take your word for how they work.

  3. Root cause analysis

We separate symptoms from causes. A report that's always late is a symptom. The missing system that would generate it automatically is the cause.

  4. Written diagnosis

A document covering what we found, what it's costing the business, and what we recommend building.

  5. Investment range

A real cost estimate for the recommended solution, based on what scoping actually found, not a rate card guess.

What you get at the end

A standalone document you can act on with or without us: the current-state findings, the root causes, a recommended solution, and an investment range. If you decide not to build anything, you keep the document. It's yours.

If you decide to proceed

The scoping fee is credited in full against the project cost if you move to implementation within 60 days of receiving the scoping document. We issue a fixed-price proposal within 5 working days of your decision, built directly from the scoping findings, with a milestone-based timeline and payment schedule.

If you decide not to proceed

That's a legitimate outcome. Some scoping engagements conclude that the problem is smaller than expected, or that the right fix doesn't require the kind of system we build. We'll tell you that directly if it's true.

Timeline

Scoping typically takes 1 to 2 weeks from kickoff to delivered document, depending on how quickly we get access to the systems involved.

Cost

The scoping engagement is a fixed, flat fee, confirmed with you before anything is booked. It's credited in full against your project fee if you proceed with CPI within 60 days.

What we build with

Real infrastructure, not a black box.

We build on established, current infrastructure rather than proprietary lock-in. A rough sense of what sits underneath a CPI system:

Cloud & Infrastructure
AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Docker
Frameworks & Languages
React, Next.js, Python, Node.js, TypeScript
Databases & Data
PostgreSQL, Firebase, Supabase, Redis
AI & Automation
Modern large language model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, workflow automation platforms
Integration
REST and GraphQL APIs connecting to whatever you already run

The stack changes as tools improve. What doesn't change is that you own what gets built, documented in plain language, not locked to a specific vendor.
